Family Portraits

For the last three years, we have taken family pictures with Vernon's family. We scheduled our pictures in early October to be taken on November 10th. On November 8th, we found out Joe had colon cancer. Our picture day became unbelievably important. It was a bittersweet day . . . so much joy that we were all together and so much sadness with questions about how long that would be the case. The pictures turned out beautifully and so does the rest of the story.

On November 12th, Joe had the tumor removed from his colon and the doctor said that Joe caught this at a VERY early stage.  They think they got everything in the surgery and that there shouldn't be much more treatment needed.  We'll hear what the oncologist says about that after Thanksgiving.  We're SO thankful to our Father who is the Way, the Truth and the LIFE. Praise be His holy name!!!
